Upgrade to a full VidAngel subscription
When you try to filter something not free (like Episode 2 or a movie), you'll see a prompt to upgrade to a paid plan. You can do it right from the *VidAngel app or website—no need to start over.
*The ability to upgrade from the free episode feature is not available on these devices:
- Android mobile
- Google/Android TV
- Fire TV
To continue watching on these devices, you'll just need to upgrade to a paid VidAngel subscription on a different device. After you upgrade, you may return to your VidAngel app on these devices to continue watching with filters.
Things to Keep in Mind
Free Episodes from Streaming Services
Some streaming services let you watch the first episode of a show for free—even without an active subscription.
Example:
If you have an Apple ID but not an Apple TV+ subscription, you may still be able to watch Severance Episode 1 on both Apple TV+ and VidAngel. However, Episode 2 (and beyond) would require an active Apple TV+ subscription.
You may see a prompt to upgrade your VidAngel plan, but even with a paid plan, you’ll still need a subscription to the streaming service to continue watching.

Promo codes can only be applied to a paid VidAngel subscription.
