How many concurrent screens can I use at the same time with VidAngel?
Your streaming service subscriptions determine how many screens can watch simultaneously. VidAngel doesn't add extra limits—we follow whatever limits your streaming providers set.
The simple version
Each streaming service sets its own simultaneous stream limits based on your subscription plan. These limits apply whether you watch through VidAngel or directly on the service.
How it works
Streaming limits by service
Each service sets different limits depending on your plan. You can verify your plan's simultaneous stream limit:
- Netflix plan limits
- Amazon Prime Video limits
- Paramount+ plan limits
- Peacock plan limits
- Apple TV streaming limits
In practice
Scenario 1: Different services
- ✅ Person A watches Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime) on their phone
- ✅ Person B watches Bridgerton (Netflix) on the TV
- ✅ Person C watches Dry Bar Comedy (VidAngel-licensed) on their laptop
This works because each person is using a different streaming service.
Scenario 2: Same service
- ✅ Person A watches Jack Ryan (Amazon Prime) on their phone
- ✅ Person B watches Reacher (Amazon Prime) on the TV
- ❌ Person C tries to watch The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime) on their laptop
This doesn't work if Amazon Prime only allows 2 simultaneous streams. Person C gets a "Too Many Streams" error.
Key points to remember
- Streaming limits are set by your streaming service, not VidAngel
- Watching on the service's native app AND through VidAngel both count toward the same limit
- Streaming services track active streams across all apps and devices connected to your account
