How can I manage my Watchlists?
Your Watchlist is a self-curated library where you can keep track of movies and TV shows you want to watch. Every profile starts with My Watchlist, and on vidangel.com you can make more personalized lists, like “Family Movie Night,” “Christmas Classics," “Saturday Morning Cartoons,” or “Movies the Kids Can Quote by Heart.” However your family watches, you can make a list for that.

Make more than one watchlist
Christmas classics in one list, the kids’ favorites in another, and that documentary you swear you’ll get to in a third. You can have up to 20 lists per profile, counting My Watchlist.
IMPORTANT: Lists are created and edited at vidangel.com in a web browser on a computer. In the mobile and TV apps, you can view all your lists, but you can’t create or edit them yet. |
- Click Watchlists in the top menu.
- Click the "+" next to Lists.
- Name it (up to 40 characters) and press Enter.
Your new list opens right away. To fill it, type a few letters into the Search movies & shows box at the top of the list, then click a result. Already keep a watchlist on IMDb or Letterboxd? See Import or export a list below.
IMPORT OR EXPORT A LIST
Bring your list from another site:
- Export your watchlist as a CSV from IMDb or Letterboxd.
- On vidangel.com open the list you want to add to. Click the tray icon, then choose Import Watchlist.
- Drag in your CSV, or click to browse for it.
- We'll show you what we found before anything is added. Untick any title you don't want, then confirm.
Want a copy of your list? Click the tray icon and choose Export as CSV to download any list as a spreadsheet.
Move or remove titles
To move one title:
Drag its poster onto another list's name in the Lists column.
To move or remove multiple titles at once:
Hover over a poster and click the circle that appears. Check every title you want or click Select all to pick the whole list, then choose Move to… or Remove.
Put them in order
Drag posters where you want them, or click the sort button (the arrow with stacked lines, at the top right of the list) and choose Title, Year, Runtime, Date added, or Shuffle. Can't decide what to watch? Shuffle's got you.
Don't forget to save
Nothing is saved until you click Save order. Changed your mind? Undo puts it back.
Click the gear icon on any list (except My Watchlist) to open Watchlist Settings. From there you can:
- Name it and describe it. Give your list a name that makes sense to you, and add a short line about what it's for, like "Friday nights with the grandkids."
- Add it to your Home Page. Turn on Add as Home row to give the list its own row on your Home Page, ready to go the moment you sign in. Up to three lists can have a row at a time.
- Delete it. Done with a list? Delete removes it for good.
| WARNING: Deleting a list deletes the titles on it too, and it can't be undone. Move any titles you want to keep first. |
VidAngel and our affiliates (creators and partners we work with) share hand-picked lists with a link or QR code. Anyone can open one, with or without an account.
To follow a list, sign in, open it, and click the bookmark icon at the top of the page. You'll get a notification when new titles are added, at most once a day. Find every list you follow under Following on the website, or Followed Lists in the mobile and TV apps.
How it works:
- Your filters, your rules. Every title plays with your own filters and profile settings, not the list maker's.
- Only what you can watch. Titles that aren't available right now are left off the list.
- Link stopped working? The list maker may have made the list private. Ask them for a fresh link.
NOTE: Following a list is different from the Follow (bell) button on a title page, which lets you know when that title is ready to watch.
