How do I change my account email address?
Update your VidAngel account email in just a few steps through your Account Settings on the website.
Before you start
Before changing your account email, you'll need:
- Access to the VidAngel website (this can't be done in the apps)
- Your current VidAngel password
- Access to your new email address to confirm the change
NOTE: If you forgot your password, here is how to reset it.
Steps
Step 1: Access your Account Settings
- Sign in to www.vidangel.com
- Click your Profile (or your name) in the top right corner
- Select "Account"
You should see: Your Account Settings page with options for managing your subscription and account information.
Step 2: Update your email address
- Click "Change Email Address"
- In the pop-up window that appears, enter your new email address
- Re-enter your new email address to confirm
- Enter your current password
- Click the "Submit" button, and another pop-up will ask for a confirmation code
Step 3: Verify the change
- Check your new email inbox for a VidAngel Confirmation Code email. Be sure to check your Spam and Promotional folders if you don't see it right away.
- Copy the confirmation code from the email.
- Paste the code in the confirmation email pop-up
- Click "Submit" to finalize the change
Common issue: Email won't update?
The most common reason is that you already have another VidAngel account using that email address. Each email can only be associated with one VidAngel account. Learn more about the difference between accounts and subscriptions.
