How can I check what type of subscription I have?
When you sign in to VidAngel, this means you have an account in our system, but not necessarily a subscription. What's the difference?
Account vs. subscription
With an Account (Free): You can log in and browse our catalog, but cannot watch any content or incur charges.
With a Subscription: You have everything an account offers, plus the ability to watch and filter VidAngel's licensed content (Angel Studios titles, Dry Bar Comedy, etc.) and select content from your linked streaming services (Amazon, Netflix, Peacock, Apple TV streaming, etc.). Subscription includes recurring charges.
How do I know if I have a subscription?
You can confirm whether you have a subscription or not in your account settings on the website:
- Go to www.VidAngel.com and click "Log in"
- Click "Profile" (or your name if you set that up)
- Click "Account"
- View your subscription status
Subscription status
If you DO have a subscription: you'll see your subscription plan details
If you do NOT have a subscription: you'll see "No Subscription".
NOTE: If you see "No subscription" but are receiving charges, then you likely created another VidAngel account. You can see more about that here: Explanation of charges
If you see “Subscription Managed by Apple/Roku/Google Play”: this means your VidAngel subscription is billed through that third party — this means you pay Apple/Roku/Google Play, not VidAngel directly.
| IMPORTANT: VidAngel monthly subscriptions purchased through third-party app stores (Apple, Google, and Roku) are $11.99 per month due to platform fees. Good news: you can switch to direct billing through VidAngel.com anytime to save $2/month, or upgrade to annual (the best deal!) |
