Managing your VidAngel notifications

How do I stop (or start) getting notifications from VidAngel?

You're in full control of what VidAngel sends you—by email, by push notification, or both. Whether you want to quiet things down or turn something new on, you can update your preferences in less than 60 seconds.

 

From a VidAngel email

This is the fastest way to access your Notification Preferences!

  1. Open any email from VidAngel and scroll to the bottom.
  2. Click Unsubscribe.
  3. This takes you straight to your Notification Preferences, where you can turn off individual categories—like Special Offers or Blog Newsletter—without losing the updates you actually want.

TIP: Want out of everything? Uncheck every box on the page, then click Save changes at the bottom. That last click is what makes it official!

 

From your Account Settings

Prefer to skip the email? You can jump straight to Notification Preferences from your account settings instead:

ON THE WEB
  1. Go to your profile
  2. Click Account 
  3. Open Notification Preferences 
  4. Check on or off the notifications you'd like to see
  5. Click Save changes

ON THE MOBILE APP
  1. Go to your profile
  2. Tap Account 
  3. Under Settings, tap Notification Preferences
  4. Check on or off the notifications you'd like to see

Turning on push notifications

Push notifications show up right on your phone (lock screen, banner, the works) even when you're not in the app. Getting them takes two steps:

  1. Look for a prompt inside the VidAngel app inviting you to turn on notifications, and tap Turn on notifications.
  2. When your phone asks for permission, tap Allow.

Don't see that prompt yet? We're rolling push notifications out gradually, so it'll reach you soon—no action needed on your end.

 

Not seeing push notifications?

If you turned push on but nothing's coming through, there are two settings worth double-checking:

  • Inside the VidAngel app: Make sure the categories you want are checked under Notification Preferences (see above).
  • In your phone's settings: Go to Settings > Notifications > VidAngel and confirm notifications are allowed there too.

Both need to be switched on—if either one's off, push notifications won't come through.
