How do I set up Locked Filters on VidAngel?

Your filters, your rules—and with Locked Filters, those rules actually stick.

 

About Locked Filters

Locked Filters are filters that are set per profile and cannot be changed without your VidAngel account password. Once locked, they apply to every title on that profile (new or previously watched) no matter what device that profile is used on.

This is different from Default Filters, which any profile member can adjust freely. Locked Filters stay put.

Each profile's Locked Filters are independent. Locking filters on a child's profile won't affect your own personal Default Filters.

Currently, you cannot restrict content by film rating

 

Set Locked Filters on the mobile app

FROM DEFAULT FILTERS
  1. Open the VidAngel app and tap into the profile you want to edit.
  2. Tap "Me" on the bottom menu, then select "Default Filters".
  3. Tap a filter to turn it on, then tap the lock icon next to any filter to lock or unlock it. A grey lock means it's unlocked—a blue lock confirms it's locked.
  4. Tap "Done" to save.

FROM MANAGE PROFILES
  1. Open the VidAngel app and tap "Manage Profiles".
  2. Tap the pencil icon on the profile you want to edit.
  3. Tap the pencil icon under "Default Filters".
  4. Tap a filter to turn it on, then tap the lock icon next to any filter to lock or unlock it. A grey lock means it's unlocked—a blue lock confirms it's locked.

Set Locked Filters on the website

FROM DEFAULT FILTERS
  1. Log in at www.vidangel.com and click into the profile you want to edit.
  2. Select "Profile" (or your name) at the top right, then click "Default Filters".
  3. Click a filter to turn it on, then click the lock icon next to any filter to lock or unlock it. A grey lock means it's unlocked—a blue lock confirms it's locked.
  4. Click "Done" to save.
