Can't Find the VidAngel App on Apple TV
Device is Too Old
Your Apple TV needs to be at least an HD 4th generation with tvOS 16 in order to install the VidAngel app. You can go to Apple Support if you need assistance identifying your Apple TV device.
Outside the United States
We cannot support our service outside of the United States, so you will not be able to find or install the app on your Apple TV if you are in another country.
Trouble With Casting
If you're having trouble using Airplay, you'll find help here: Can't cast (Airplay) to Apple TV
Verification Issues
If your show won't verify on your Apple TV, please check out: TROUBLE PLAYING SHOWS
Connection Issues
For Apple TV, you will not connect in the app itself but will sync your connection from our mobile app or the website: Connect streaming services on the Apple TV app
If you're having trouble connecting to a streaming service on VidAngel, go here for help: Trouble Connecting to Streaming Services
Playback Issues
Buffering or Freezing
Check out Show is buffering
If you're experiencing pausing and you are using Closed Captions, we have found an issue with the Apple Video Player (so, iOS mobile devices as well) and our Closed Caption files. Closed Captions are a fairly new feature for us, so it may take some time to implement a solution. In the meantime, you can watch without captions, try to get a faster internet speed, or use captions on a different device.
Check for updates on your Apple TV
You should be able to check for updates by going to Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software. If that doesn't work, please contact Apple Support for instructions.
Reboot your Apple TV
You can restart the Apple TV by unplugging it or manually restarting it. You can restart it by going to Settings > System > Restart. If that doesn't work, please contact Apple Support for instructions.
