Can't Install the VidAngel App on Fire TV
Two VidAngel apps
We had an early version VidAngel beta app in the Amazon Appstore. The official VidAngel Fire TV app was previously unavailable in the Amazon store but could be manually installed on your Fire TV or Firestick. If you previously had the old beta app, you may see a non-function app version when you search for VidAngel. You will need to download the blue (NOT black) VidAngel app.

Error: App Not Found
If you try to download the black app, which is our old, non-functioning app you'll get the error: "App not Found: The app you are looking for could not be found." You will need to download the new app with the navy blue background (see above).

You device is Too Old
Your Fire TV needs to be at least a 3rd generation with Fire OS 6 in order to manually install the VidAngel app. You can check your OS by going to Settings > My Fire TV > About > look for Software Version.
If that doesn't work, you can go to Amazon Support if you need more assistance identifying your Fire TV device.
You may see an "Unavailable" message on the download screen if your device is too old.
Outside the United States
We cannot support our service outside of the United States, so you will not be able to find or install the app on your Fire TV if you are in another country.
Verification Issues
If your show won't verify/start on your Fire TV there are a couple of things to look into:
Old Beta App
You may still be using an old Beta version of the app. An easy way to know is if your VidAngel app is black. A black background is from the old app. The newer app has a blue background. You can also see how to check your app version here: Update your VidAngel app
Other Issues
If you're having errors or other verification issues, please check out the section: TROUBLE PLAYING SHOWS
Connection Issues
If your services won't show as connected or they keep getting disconnected, here are some things to look into:
Connect services on mobile or website
For Fire TV, you will not connect in the TV app itself but will sync your connection from our mobile app or the website: Connect streaming services on the Fire TV app
Other connection issues
If you're having trouble connecting or staying connected to a streaming service, please check out the section: TROUBLE CONNECTING TO STREAMING SERVICES
Playback Issues
Buffering or Freezing

Check for updates on your Fire TV
You should be able to check for updates by going to Settings > My Fire TV > About > Check for System Updates. If that doesn't work, please contact Amazon Support for instructions.
Reboot your Fire TV
You might be surprised how often this actually works. You can restart the Fire TV by unplugging it or manually restarting it. You can restart it by going to Settings > My Fire TV > Restart. If that doesn't work, please contact Amazon Support for instructions.
It would probably also be a good idea to reboot your internet router/modem.
