Watch on Apple TV

Get the VidAngel app to watch with filters on your Apple TV! Apple TV is a great choice; it is a high quality device and our longerst supported app.



Before you Start

  1. Make sure your device is at least an Apple TV HD 4th generation or a newer 4K. You can identify your Apple TV model here: Identify your Apple TV model

  2. Make sure your Apple TV is up to date: Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.
  3. Create an account and start a subscription at www.vidangel.com
  4. Connect streaming services on the VidAngel mobile app or website: Connect streaming services on the Apple TV app
  5. Recommended: Make sure your Apple TV device is up to date.

 

Install the VidAngel Apple TV App

After you start a VidAngel subscription and connect your streaming services, then you're ready to get the VidAngel app on your Apple TV. Here's how: 

  1. Open the Apple App Store on your Apple TV.
  2. Search for "VidAngel".
  3. Download the VidAngel app.
  4. In the app select "Log in"
  5. You can then choose to go to the URL listed on the screen, OR select the "More Log in options" button.

    URL

    1. On a computer or mobile web browser, go to the URL (the web address) on the screen.
    You can type in the URL or use the QR scanner on your phone to be automatically directed to the correct page.

    2. If needed, log into the VidAngel website. 

    3. Type the code on the TV screen on the VidAngel device page.
    This will connect your TV app to your VidAngel account.

    4. Click "Save Device"

    5. Once you put in the code the TV screen will automatically open the main VidAngel movie page.

    1. Input your VidAngel account email and password.

    2. Once you put in the code the screen will automatically open the main VidAngel movie page.

NOTE: Apple may prompt you to use your Apple ID email to sign in. Make sure you're using your VidAngel account email. 

 

Sign Up

Did you skip the Before you Start section (you rascal) and still need to create an account? If you haven't already created a VidAngel account, you can select "Sign Up". 

  1. Create your VidAngel account. You can do this:
    • On a computer or mobile web browser go to: vidangel.com/signup - PREFERED METHOD (because you can then also use the website to connect to your streaming services)
      OR
    • You can create an account directly on the Apple TV app
  2. On a computer or mobile web browser, sign in to the VidAngel website and complete the signup process. 
  3. You will need to connect to streaming services on the VidAngel mobile app or website: Connect streaming services on the Apple TV app

 

Watch on Apple TV

  1. Select a show in the VidAngel app.
  2. If desired, adjust Filters by selecting the "Filters" button.
  3. Select "Play" and wait for the title to verify.
  4. Enjoy your show!
