How can I watch VidAngel on my Android TV?
If you want to know how to get the VidAngel app to watch with filters on your Google or Android box or TV, this article will help!
Before you start
- Not sure if your device will work with VidAngel? Check out: Will VidAngel work with my Android TV?
- Confirm your Android TV is at least version 8.0
- "Settings" > "System" OR "Device Preferences" > "About" scroll down to "Version".
- Recommended: Make sure your Android TV device is up-to-date.
- Start a subscription at vidangel.com
- Link your streaming services on the VidAngel mobile app or website—this'll sync to your TV automatically
Install the VidAngel app
Most newer TVs and streaming boxes run Google TV, which builds the Play Store right into the interface. Try this first:
- From your home screen, select Apps in the top menu.
- Scroll to Search for apps and games.
- Type or speak VidAngel.
- Select the VidAngel TV app and install it.
If you don't see an "Apps" option, you likely have an older Android TV device. Try this instead:
- Open the Google Play Store app.
- Search for VidAngel.
- Select the VidAngel TV app and install it.
NOTE: If you don't have a Google account to access the Google Play Store, go here: Android TV: What if I don't have a Google account?
Log in and start filtering!
Select Login, then either:
- Visit vidangel.com/androidtv on your phone or computer and enter the on-screen code (or scan the QR code), or
- Select More log in options to type your email and password right on the TV.
We recommend creating your account at vidangel.com on a computer or mobile device—subscriptions billed through us are the cheapest!
However, if you prefer to sign up right from the couch, we respect that! Just select Sign Up, enter your email, and follow the on-screen steps.
