Get the VidAngel app to watch with filters on your Roku box or Roku TV!
Please be aware that Roku has rules for streaming services with commercials that we can’t fulfill as an add-on service. Because of this, content from these service plans will not play on the VidAngel Roku app:
However, if you upgrade your plan to ad-free, or even rent/buy on Amazon video, then you should be able to watch on the Roku app! With that in mind, let's get you set up and watching with filters on your Roku:
Before you start
- Confirm your Roku device has a software version of at least 9.2.0
You can check this by going to Settings > System > About > look for the software version. - Start a VidAngel subscription at www.vidangel.com
- Connect streaming services in your VidAngel Account Settings. Account Settings must be accessed on the VidAngel mobile app or website: Connect streaming services on the Roku app
- Recommended: Make sure your Roku device is up to date.
You can check for updates by going to Settings > System > Software update > Check now.
Install the VidAngel Roku app
- On your Roku home screen, select "Search" or "Add Channels".
- Type "vidangel" and select it.
- Select "Add app".
- You should get a notification it's been added!
- Log in with your VidAngel account.

Started a subscription on Roku
Did you skip the Before you start section (you rascal) and create an account on Roku? If so, this means that signed up to a VidAngel subscription with your Roku account and Roku manages your subscription. You will need to contact Roku for billing concerns.
Watching on Roku
- Select a show in the VidAngel app.
- If desired, adjust Filters by selecting the "Filters" button.
- Select "Watch with [Service]" and wait for the title to verify.
- Enjoy your show!
Remember that streaming services plans with advertisements will not play on the Roku app.
If you'd like to move the VidAngel app to the front of your apps, this will show you how:
MOVE THE VIDANGEL APP

- Open your Roku home screen.
- Highlight the VidAngel app (but don't click on it).
- Press the (*) star button on the remote.
- Selec "Move app".
- Use the arrow buttons on the remote to navigate the VidAngel app to the top of your apps.
- Click the "OK" button on the remote.
