Why am I receiving the error, "You appear to be connected to an account type at the streaming service that we do not currently support."?
This means your Peacock subscription exists, but it's a plan type that VidAngel cannot link to. This can happen for two reasons:
- Your plan is a tier that doesn't include full catalog access (like Peacock Select)
- Your Peacock subscription is billed through Amazon as an add-on channel rather than directly through Peacock
VidAngel only supports Peacock accounts subscribed directly through Peacock. To filter Peacock on VidAngel, you need an active Premium or Premium Plus plan subscribed at peacocktv.com.
Which Peacock plans are not supported?
VidAngel cannot link to:
❌ Peacock Select (current limited-content plan; does not include full catalog access)
❌ Peacock Free / Basic Free (discontinued free tier)
❌ Older grandfathered or provider-bundled Peacock plans
❌ Peacock through Amazon (add-on channel subscription)
These older plans are being phased out or converted by Peacock, and they do not include full content access, so VidAngel cannot authenticate them. We currently only link to Peacock directly, we do not link to the Amazon Peacock add-on channel at this time.
Upgrade your Peacock plan
You can view your Peacock subscription here: Peacock Account. Look at "Plans & Upgrades" and you can then select "Change plan" to upgrade.
