Are you getting an error message, or are things just not working? Many issues with VidAngel can be fixed with a complete refresh of the connection to your streaming services. This is more than just unlink and then relink to the streaming service, but is a series of steps designed to get you back to watching with filters faster. So please don't skip any steps, and chances are you'll be watching your show right away:
- 1. Unlink the streaming service in VidAngel
- 2. Refresh your session with the streaming service
- 3. Relink the streaming service in VidAngel

1. Unlink the Streaming Service
Your Account Settings to link and unlink services are only available through the VidAngel Android or Apple mobile app, OR on our website using a computer (you don't have to do both). Then that connection will sync with your VidAngel account on any TV apps you use.
So here is how to unlink on either the mobile app or the website. Remember, you don't have to do both, so just pick one device:
COMPUTER
Using a Google Chrome or Firefox web browser, follow this link: www.vidangel.com/services, or
- Go to www.vidangel.com and login.
- Click "Profile" (or your name).
- Select "Link Services".
- Click the white toggle button next to the streaming service so it's gray.
PHONE or TABLET
- Open the VidAngel app (NOT a mobile web browser).
- Tap the “Me” button on the bottom menu.
- Select “Link Streaming Services”.
- Tap the white toggle button next to the streaming service so it's gray.
2. Refresh your Session
COMPUTER
- Use a Google Chrome or Firefox web browser (not the streaming service's app).
NOTE: If you don't like to use Chrome or Firefox, please click HERE to see why it must be one of those web browsers. - Go directly to peacocktv.com, tv.apple.com, www.netflix.com, and/or www.amazon.com
- LOG OUT of the service's website.
- Log back in.
This will initiate a new session with them.
PHONE or TABLET
- Hard/force close the VidAngel app (this is especially important for iOS devices).
Here's how to do that, depending on your device:
APPLE
On an iPhone X or later, or an iPad with iOS 12 or later, or iPadOS:
- From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen.
- Swipe right or left to find the VidAngel app.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
On iPhone SE, iPhone 8 and earlier, and iPod touch:
- Double-click the Home button to show your most recently used apps.
- Swipe right or left to find the VidAngel app.
- Swipe up on the app's preview to close the app.
ANDROID
- Go to Settings.
- Select Apps.
- Select the VidAngel app.
- Tap on the Stop or Force Stop button.
3. Relink the Streaming Service
Remember, this can only be done on either the VidAngel mobile app or the VidAngel website: LINK STREAMING SERVICES
COMPUTER
On a Google or Firefox web browser, follow this link: www.vidangel.com/services, or
- Go to www.vidangel.com and login.
- Click "Profile" (or your name).
- Select "Link Services".
- Click the white toggle button next to the streaming service so it's blue and there's a checkmark.
PHONE or TABLET
- Open the VidAngel app (NOT a mobile web browser).
- Tap the “Me” button on the bottom menu.
- Select “Link Streaming Services”.
- Tap the white toggle button next to the streaming service where you may be redirected to log in to your streaming account. Once linked, the toggle will turn blue and there's a checkmark.
