You can AirPlay VidAngel from our Apple mobile app to AirPlay 2-enabled TVs. AirPlay is a different casting process than Chromecasting and only works with Apple devices. Please be aware that at this time, we cannot AirPlay titles that contain advertisements. We can currently Chromecast ad-based content and will continue to improve our casting functionality for AirPlay.

Before you start
Before starting the AirPlay process, you'll want to ensure your VidAngel account and devices are all ready to go.
- Ensure both devices are AirPlay 2-enabled. Click here to view Apple's AirPlay 2–Enabled TVs and Devices and AirPlay system requirements.
- Sign up for a VidAngel subscription at www.vidangel.com
- Download the VidAngel Apple mobile app. If needed, you can go here for additional instructions: Watch on a phone or tablet
- Link streaming services in your VidAngel Account Settings: Link streaming services on the mobile app
- If you already have VidAngel on your mobile, make sure you have the most updated version of our app on your iPad or iPhone: Update your VidAngel app
- Last, but certainly not least, ensure that your Apple mobile device is on the same Wi-Fi as your AirPlay 2-enabled TV streaming device: Check if TV and mobile are on the same Wi-Fi
- Recommended: Check your devices for any software updates.
You’re doing great! Now you're ready to AirPlay!
How to AirPlay to your TV
Find something you would like to watch and set your filters. When you're ready to watch:
- Tap on the Cast icon in the upper-right corner.
- Select AirPlay as your casting method.
- This will bring up a list of available devices on your network. Select the TV device you would like to use.
- If relevant, input the AirPlay Passcode that appears on your TV screen.
- Once the device is selected (indicated by a checkmark), tap the outside the box, anywhere on the screen.
- On your mobile: The cast icon should have turned blue.
On your TV: You will see the AirPlay screen. - On the mobile, select the "Play Now" or episode image.
- The title will start on your TV!
Watching through AirPlay
After the show starts on your TV, you will be able to control it using your iPhone or iPad, or you can use the TV's remote. You can even close the app and it will continue to play on the TV.
If you want to disconnect from the TV, you can easily do this by tapping on the back arrow or the AirPlay icon and selecting the iPhone or iPad (indicated by a checkmark) in the VidAngel mobile app.
If you get the error "We are unable to AirPlay content with ads.", please be aware that at this time we cannot AirPlay titles that contain advertisements. We can currently Chromecast ad-based content and will continue to improve our casting functionality for AirPlay.
