If you notice that all the titles giving you trouble are mature-rated Netflix shows, then you likely have some Netflix settings that are blocking VidAngel.
Netflix Parental Controls
If you are receiving the error, "The provider will not load this video as it exceeds your maximum allowed ratings. Please check your parental controls." then you have set your Netflix account to not allow shows with that rating.
VidAngel can only connect to the main Netflix profile (the one that cannot be deleted), so you will need to change your Maturity Rating Setting for that profile to watch those titles on VidAngel:
- Sign in at netflix.com
- Click "Manage Profiles"
- Choose to edit the main profile
You'll know it's the main one if there's no "Delete Profile" option - Under the Maturity Settings click "Edit"
- Input your Netflix password
- Update your Maturity Rating to at least the rating of the show you're trying to watch on VidAngel
- Click "Save"
Remember, you can use a PIN on Netflix to protect your profile from unwanted access.
Main Netflix profile is a Kids' account
A Kids Profile will not work with VidAngel. Since VidAngel can only connect to the main Netflix profile, you will need to change that to an adult profile (i.e. set the default profile to be a regular profile by removing the child restrictions):
- Sign in at netflix.com
- Click "Manage Profiles"
- Choose to edit the main/kids profile
You'll know it's the main one if there's no "Delete Profile" option - Under the Maturity Settings click "Edit"
- Input your Netflix password
- Uncheck the Kids Profile box
