Watch on Android TV

Get the VidAngel app to watch with filters on your Google or Android TV device.

 

Before you Start

  1. Make sure you have the Google Play Store on your Android TV device. 
    If you don't have the official Google Play Store, you won't be able to install the app.

  2. Confirm your Android TV is at least version 8.0: "Settings" > "System" OR "Device Preferences" > "About" scroll down to "Version".
  3. Start a subscription at www.vidangel.com
  4. Connect streaming services on the VidAngel mobile app or website: Connect streaming services on the Android TV app. 
  5. Recommended: Make sure your Android TV device is up to date.

Install the VidAngel Android TV app

  1. Go to the Google Play Store on your Android TV.
  2. Search for "VidAngel TV".
  3. Download the VidAngel app.
  4. In the new app select "Log in".
  5. You can then choose to go to the URL listed on the screen, or select the "More Log in options" button.

      1. On a computer or mobile web browser, go to the URL on the screen: vidangel.com/androidtv 
        You can type in the URL or use the QR scanner on your phone to be automatically directed to the correct page.
      2. Input the code to connect your TV app to your VidAngel account. 
      3. Click "Save Device".
        Your Android TV screen will automatically change to the main VidAngel page.

      1. Input your VidAngel account email and password.

 

Sign Up

Did you skip the Before you Start section (you rascal) and still need to create an account? If you haven't already created a VidAngel account, you can select "Sign Up". 

  1. On a computer or mobile web browser, go to the URL on the screen: vidangel.com/signup  
    You can type in the URL or use the QR scanner on your phone to be automatically directed to the correct page.
  2. Complete the steps to create an account.
  3. Once created, go back to your Android TV. Select the "Account Has Been Created" button.
  4. On a computer or mobile web browser, go to the new URL on the screen: vidangel.com/androidtv  
  5. Input the code to connect your TV app to your VidAngel account. 
  6. Click "Save Device".
    Your Android TV screen will automatically change to the main VidAngel page.
  7. You will need to connect to streaming services on the VidAngel mobile app or website: Connect streaming services on the Android TV app. 

 

Watch on Android TV

  1. Select a show in the VidAngel app.
  2. If desired, adjust Filters by selecting the "Filters" button.
  3. Select "Play Now" and wait for the title to verify.
  4. Enjoy your show!
