If you have already rented or bought a show, but VidAngel is still telling you that it's "Purchasable Content" or to, "Check your Amazon account: The linked Amazon account does not appear to have access to this movie/episode: Review on Amazon" then your connection to Amazon is a likely culprit. If that ends up not being the issue, don't worry, we'll help you figure it out.

Refresh Your Amazon Connection
After you rent/buy a show or if your connection has just gone stale, refreshing your connection can solve many issues with VidAngel. This must be done on either our website or mobile app. After you relink your streaming service, you can return to the TV app to watch.
This article will show you the best way to refresh the connection to your streaming service with VidAngel: Refresh the Connection
NOTE: If you get stuck in a loop with the "Success!" message, you may need to clear your cache and reboot your device. Go here for instructions on different devices: Services won't connect: Reset Everything Else |
Select the Correct Streaming Service Offer
The system should select the correct service for you, but if things are not working after relinking to Amazon, you may want to double-check that you have the correct offer selected. This article will show you how to change the streaming service selected on the VidAngel app for each device: How do I change the streaming service I'm watching with?
Make sure to select an Amazon Video HD or SD option.
Check your Amazon Account
Do you have Parental Controls?
You may have parental controls, including viewing restrictions or a PIN, that is blocking your access. If so, then VidAngel will not be able to access the title.
If you need to adjust your parental controls on the steaming service site so that you can access a show while watching through VidAngel, here is a direct link: Amazon Viewing Restrictions
Or you can navigate to it from their website by selecting: Prime Video > Profile icon > Account & Settings > Restrictions > remove the PIN and/or scroll down to adjust the Viewing Restrictions.
The main profile should allow all ratings if you want to watch those through VidAngel. You may need to unlink Amazon from VidAngel and then relink so the new settings can sync.
Are you using the correct Amazon account?
Your Amazon streaming subscriptions may be under a different Amazon account--one that does not have the movie purchased/rented. Ensure you're using the same Amazon account both online and with VidAngel. We know it may seem silly, but many families have more than one account.
Go to your Amazon library to make sure you own the show on this account.
Check the Version
Did you rent or buy a compatible version? Did you get one with bonus features or a special cut? Did you get the UHD/4K or HD/SD version?
If you did not purchase or rent the movie using the link VidAngel gives you, we do not know what version you got and it may not be the version for which we've built filters. To avoid this problem in the future, please see: How to watch Amazon Video rentals or purchases.
With very few exceptions, VidAngel only offers filters for the basic HD or SD versions; we are not yet compatible with most versions containing Bonus Features, Director/Extended/Unrated cuts, or UHD/4K.
